Inspired by Victoria’s approach to working around our Cornish Coast, and through demonstration and guidance, young artists will be taught how to capture seascapes rapidly in ink. They will learn how to develop line, tone, expressive marks and how to illustrate force, mood and weather. They will transition from small studies into larger ink and wax pieces.

Victoria is a Cornish artist whose work is deeply connected with the her heritage, the landscape and Coast where she works en plein air and also has a studio in Falmouth. She brings a wealth of experience from working as an artist, teacher and in Community arts and wellbeing. She has also worked in hospitals, charities, schools, for the BBC, art galleries and museum services.

For children aged 7-10, this is a Kids Art Club like no other, where children get to work on easels and use the same high art quality materials as our adult courses. They are taught by experienced artist tutors and start to take their first steps as Young Artists.

We are happy to continue to offer limited FREE Scholarship places for those on low income. Please contact Cat Lee Youth Arts Manager for a Scholarship application form to apply  [email protected].

I am a Cornish painter, based in Falmouth. My practice derives from a lifetime of looking and belonging. My Cornish heritage and love of the land and sea has informed a practice of landscape and coastal paintings, generating work mainly on site.

At St Ives School of Painting we recognise our moral and statutory responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of children. Our Trustees, staff and volunteers share this commitment. See our Safeguarding Policy under our Quick Links in the footer.
