Join the Online Art Club for Regular Sessions

Our online art club brings people together for 90-minute creative sessions on Wednesday evenings during selected months of the year. Each week, a practising artist introduces a new exercise, demonstrates their approach and guides you through making your own work at home.

Themes explored so far include still life, interiors and landscape, using drawing, painting, collage and mixed media. Catch up with previous Art Club series below, or join us in October as we focus on the figure. For more ways to learn from home, explore our online art courses.

Make Art a Regular Part of Your Week

Our weekly online art sessions offer a reason to pause, pick up your materials and make something alongside others. Meeting on Wednesdays helps you establish a regular creative habit, while the relaxed club format keeps the emphasis on curiosity and enjoyment.

Join from anywhere in the UK or beyond and become part of a community working together at the same time. If you would also like an immersive studio experience, explore a UK art holiday or browse our Art Courses in Cornwall.

Meet Your Tutors

Sessions are led by practising art tutors in Cornwall, including Iona Sanders and Camilla Dixon. Their demonstrations offer practical starting points rather than fixed outcomes, leaving you free to interpret each exercise in your own way.

Iona Sanders

Iona is a painter from far west Cornwall whose work is rooted in close observation of everyday objects and her surroundings. Having developed her artistic practice organically, she brings a warm and relatable approach to teaching. Her sessions encourage participants to loosen up, trust their instincts and build confidence in their own way of working.

Camilla Dixon

Camilla is an artist and senior lecturer at Falmouth University, with 20 years’ experience teaching BA and MA students across the UK. Her practice moves between observation, drawing, painting, abstraction and the playful rearrangement of materials. Her responsive approach helps participants overcome creative blocks, experiment freely and discover new possibilities in their work.

An Online Art Club for Every Level

You do not need previous art experience to join. Our tutors explain each exercise clearly, and activities can be adapted to suit your confidence, materials and way of working. Beginners can explore without pressure, while more experienced artists can use the prompts to test new ideas and approaches.

If you are looking for a more intensive programme with structured guidance, workshops and one-to-one tutorials, explore our advanced art courses.

It’s brought out in my painting exactly what I’ve always wanted – this is how I’ve wanted to paint but I didn’t have the courage, as it didn’t seem ‘legitimate’. It’s joy. It’s play. And it’s me!
