Course details
Join us for a webinar exclusive, as we visit the studio of Brighton based contemporary artist, Faye Bridgwater, who will be sharing her knowledge around using Instagram to tell the artists story.

Faye Bridgwater is an award-winning international artist who creates colourful and expressive paintings that exude joy. Faye’s paintings capture those fleeting and dramatic moments of light and playful movement. She uses loose, bold layers of paint, adding detail with impulsive pencil structured lines, the techniques produce expressive, textured and flowing seascapes and landscapes.
An important part of Faye’s practice is her regular use of Instagram, where she shares her work and ideas to help to showcase her paintings, drawings and limited edition prints.
In this webinar Faye will guide you on how to record, document and share your journey of creating a painting on Instagram. To increase your exposure and highlight your individual online voice. From inspiration, initial sketches, first expressive marks to final painting.
This course is for artists who want to start sharing their journey in a visually stimulating way for their followers on social media. Finding their own intuitive voice and taking their followers through the process.
Faye will be sharing how she uses social media as a sketchbook to record the developments of a painting and her own reactions and response to it.
At the end of the course artists should have another string to their bow to help them joyfully and authentically promote their own work through Instagram, making it part of the artistic process.

What our students say
Loved that there were exercise prompts to put all the great advice into action easily.
Wonderful enthusiasm from Faye making the process seem do-able.
Loved Faye’s infectious enthusiasm. She turned something that I felt quite negatively towards and daunted by on it’s head and showed how I can look at it as just as part of my studio practice, posting just for me. Feels much more approachable now. Thank you, Faye.
Faye’s genuine and authentic personality meant the content was easy to take on board, and relatable. I particularly liked the mini exercises. I would say I’m quite confident using Instagram, however do struggle at times to know what to share and post, so the course has given me lots of ideas as to what to share in future.
Faye’s enthusiasm, warmth, and charm added so much to her presentation! I honestly felt like she was talking to just me as a friend and confidant. Her slides were clear without being overwhelming, and the way she explained her points were clear and interesting instead of just reading from the slides. Her personality added so much to the class.
Faye’s natural enthusiasm and enjoyment of using Instagram shines through. As a brand new user of Instagram I found her inspiring and full of ideas.
