Child making rubbings and textures to decorate origami butterflies.

Inspired by natural forms, they’ll explore mark-making and texture rubbings to decorate and transform their butterflies into unique artworks, with the option to add a personal message of hope and care for the environment, creating a thoughtful response to the natural world we share.

A joyful, hands-on workshop full of making, experimenting and imagination, perfect for curious hands and creative minds aged 7–13.

Fully supervised by our experienced DBS-checked tutors, children can enjoy creating in our sea-view studio using high-quality art materials while parents and guardians are able to enjoy a couple of hours to themselves. Alternatively book an extra place and join in together for a creative family activity. Everyone leaves inspired, with beautiful artwork to take home.

My own practice involves a range of materials and collaborations and I have always been inspired by sharing my enthusiasm for creating with others. Whatever age group I work with, there is a connection and a tangible excitement in creative activity.  It is a powerful tool with which to explore the world and ourselves.  I see myself as a fellow traveller; sometimes leading and other times following.
