Course details
Get creative with Cornwall-based artist Kitty Hillier in this fun and hands-on art workshop. You’ll explore how to make your own colourful collages inspired by the natural world and everyday surroundings.

Kitty will show you how she looks at nature in a modern, imaginative way – taking inspiration from things like changing seasons, overlooked objects, and even small details we usually miss. Using simple drawing, playful mark-making, and your own senses, you’ll learn how to slow down, look closely, and turn what you see into art.
You’ll also discover how famous artists like Eileen Agar, Barbara Hepworth, Sandra Blow, and Wilhelmina Barns-Graham were inspired by the Cornish landscape, and how they turned natural shapes into creative and abstract artworks.
You’ll experiment with intuitive mark-making exercises, explore abstract forms using scissors, and transform your sketches with colour and texture to make expressive, one-of-a-kind collages. Kitty will guide you step by step, helping you discover your own creative style and build confidence in making art in a relaxed and playful way.
For children aged 7-10, this is a Kids Art Club like no other, where children get to work on easels and use the same high quality art materials as our adult courses. They are taught by experienced artist tutors and start to take their first steps as Young Artists.
