Course details
Join artist Ilker Cinarel from our studio in St Ives for this Picasso-inspired life drawing webinar.
As painter, sculptor, etcher, lithographer, ceramicist and designer, Picasso’s influence on twentieth century art was enormous. Famous for inventing a new style of painting called Cubism, Picasso painted his models from different perspectives within the same painting.
Following from Ilker’s last Picasso-inspired webinar, this session explores capturing the figure in draped and layered domestic settings. Experiment with this abstract way of working from the comfort of your own home as artist Ilker Cinarel guides you through a series of exercises which aim to capture the full-length figure. Seated and standing against various backdrops, capture the figure in rich interior settings. Add colour to your sketches for vibrancy, luminosity and depth.

Starting with 5 and 10 minute poses, these will be followed by longer poses to develop your drawings. Recorded in our studio overlooking Porthmeor Beach, you will draw alongside Ilker from the clothed model. Get a unique insight into how to abstract the figure, working from various perspectives and integrating them into one image.
