Course details
Explore the St Ives harbour through a more playful, abstract lens in this half-day workshop designed to loosen your approach and encourage experimentation.

The first part of the workshop will be spent drawing around St Ives Harbour, exploring various abstract approaches to capture different elements of the scene.
Back in the studio, you will be shown how to extract a composition from your drawings to develop into a fresh mixed-media abstract piece. Using a combination of drawing, collage and acrylic paint, you’ll experiment with layering, editing and reworking your ideas, discovering new ways to build a composition that feel expressive and individual.
This fast-paced workshop is about responding quickly and directly, capturing more, with fewer marks.
Please note: This is an adult workshop, however we would welcome children aged 14 or over, if accompanied by a paying adult. This is the case as we cannot guarantee that all our tutors have been DBS checked.
