Lesley Plumridge
Through my teaching I give inspiration and enthusiasm; I love showing students new techniques and processes and then helping them incorporate them in their own way and develop them into their creative practices.
Lesley studied at Falmouth University, graduating in 2005 with a BA First Class Honours in Textile Design. She is a mixed media designer and maker with a studio based at the Krowji Hub in Redruth.
Her practice explores a rich combination of processes, including collage, Gelli printing, painting and stitch, bringing together both hand-made and digital approaches. Her tactile, layered works are then developed further using Adobe Illustrator, where her collaged designs are translated into contemporary stationery products and textile fabrics.
