Coronavirus Statement

BOOK RISK FREE: If you need to cancel your place on any of our courses due to coronavirus you can transfer the full value to join us on another course within 2 years.

UPDATE: Due to the latest National lockdown effective from 00:01 Thursday 5th November all courses are cancelled until 3 December 2020. If you have a booking we will be in touch to offer you a refund or a credit if you are able to support us.

KEEPING SAFE: We have decided to take a careful and considered approach to reopening the School. We have been running courses since August, with measures in place to make this as safe as possible for students, staff and tutors.

We have reduced the number of students on a course so you will have plenty of space to work, interact with the tutor and your fellow students whilst being socially distanced. We have removed furniture and equipment to make the studios more spacious and we have implemented a very thorough cleaning regime with equipment being quarantined for 72 hours between groups.

We will require students and staff to wear a plastic visor while in the studios which we will provide or you are welcome to bring your own. When you first arrive in the morning we will ask you to wear a fabric face covering until you are in the studio and have fitted your visor. If you have a medical reason for not being able to wear a face covering please get in touch with us before you arrive. We have cancelled all short workshop activity including life drawing for the foreseeable future and instead we are exploring delivering alternatives with a brand new online programme.

We are committed to being responsive and vigilant. We will continue to regularly monitor advice from Public Health England and the UK government and take the necessary action to help us all stay safe.

PLEASE NOTE: We are not able to accept students travelling from a Tier 3 area, nor from Wales whilst the Firebreak is in effect, currently 9 November. You would need to cancel your booking and we will give you a credit to be used in the future. If this applies to you or you have any questions please get in touch. To clarify we do not fall into the category of education, one of the three exceptions to the rule against travel in government advice, as we are not regulated. So attending a course with us if you are resident in a Tier 3 area would not be considered a legitimate reason to travel outside the area. For more information please refer to the government advice page.

Thank you for all your support over the last few months. We have had so many kind messages and many of you have helped us with donations or through rescheduling your courses with us where you can. We are looking forward to welcoming you back. We have missed you all and the studios are missing the buzz of your creative energy.

And if you can’t make it down to us in St Ives I hope you can join us through our brand new online programme. This includes live webinars, short and longer courses delivered by our amazing team of tutors straight to your home wherever you might be in the world.
